This website
No cookies, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. Fonts, images and sounds come from this domain, not from third parties. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver and protect it.
Buying
Payments are handled by Paddle, our reseller and Merchant of Record, under its own privacy notice; we never see your card or PayPal details. Paddle passes us your email address, country and the order, so that we can issue your license key and send it to you.
The trial and activation
When Ichor starts its trial, activates a key or checks in, it sends our license server:
- a machine code: a one-way hash made from your Windows installation ID and the system drive's serial number. The hash cannot be turned back into those IDs and contains nothing else about you or your computer;
- the Ichor version, and your license key or license number.
We store the machine code with the trial's start date, which licenses are active on which machine codes, and when they last checked in. License keys are stored encrypted.
License keys are sent through our email delivery provider, which processes your address only to deliver the message. When you use the Lost your key form, we keep the address and the time of the request for 24 hours, to stop the form being used to flood an inbox. Support emails are kept as long as we need them to help you.
How long we keep it, and why
License records are kept for as long as the license exists, because Ichor needs them to activate. Trial records are kept so that a trial runs once per computer. We use this data only to provide the license you bought and to prevent misuse of the trial and the forms, and we do not sell or share it with anyone else.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted; write to support@ichorsynth.com. Deleting a license's records ends its ability to activate. If you are in the EU or the UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.
